The Making Our Environment Right (MOER) Foundation, Inc. celebrates its First Annual Childhood Obesity Prevention Program (COPP) Health Series with an educational event May 6 at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Boston. The COPP Health Series features a team of medical professionals from prestigious institutions and hospitals.The COPP Health Series educates parents and children about the value of healthy eating patterns, increasing physical activity and

promoting healthy lifestyles. The MOER Foundation promotes culturally sensitive health education, stressing the theme, "Lose your weight, Not your culture” – Dr. Ali M. York. To help motivate children and parents items such as; pedometers, fact sheets and healthy recipes were given away to promote physical activity and wellness.

The COPP Health Series-Boston runs from May 6 thru August 12 featuring lecturers from institutions, such as Partners Healthcare System, Massachusetts General Hospital, The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and Healthworks Fitness for Women.
